SUMMER DELIVERY UPDATE
Please note: during the hotter months we dispatch all our bacon in insulated bags with cool packs, charged at € 4.90 within Germany. This service is FREE for orders over € 45.00
When sending fresh products in the post, packaging and delivery speed are important factors.
Dry-curing and smoking are traditional meat preservation techniques. Additionally, all our bacon comes vacuum-packed and has a naturally long shelf-life. Left in its original packaging, the bacon can therefore easily withstand several days without refrigeration.

Dispatch Days
We send out bacon four days a week - Monday to Thursday. Why? The last thing we want is your bacon to be stuck in the post office over the weekend!
If your order reaches us before 5 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, your bacon will be dispatched the same day! Orders that reach us after 7 AM will be sent out the next day.
If your order gets to us after 5 AM on Thursday, on Friday or on the weekend, your bacon will usually be sent out on Monday.

Once dispatched, you will receive a tracking code so that you can follow the journey of your bacon from the butchery to your home.
DHL Cool Bag Delivery (hot months)
When the outside temperatures are regularly above 21°C, we dispatch all bacon in insulated cool bags with cool packs, as trackable DHL Paket which usually arrive the next day (within Germany). This ensures that the bacon is kept at a save temperature well below 21°C until it arrives at your home.
Free DHL Paket Delivery (not currently available)
We post all of our single and double packs of bacon in flat cardboard boxes that will literally fit through your letterbox*! These are sent with DHL Paket and will usually arrive the next day**. Please note that Super Savers or Subscriptions with more than two packs will be dispatched in larger boxes.

*Depending on size and type of letterbox.
**Please note that deliveries to Packstationen usually add at least one further day to your delivery time.
Chilled overnight delivery
If you prefer chilled delivery, we will send your bacon via overnight courier with next day delivery. The packaging consists of an insulated, environmentally-friendly straw box containing your bacon and cool packs. This means that we guarantee that your bacon will never rise above fridge temperature.
For this option, please select "Overnight Chilled Delivery" at Checkout. This is charged at € 19.90.
International Delivery
International delivery is available to most EU countries such as Austria and the Netherlands. Similar to the free delivery option within Germany, the bacon is sent vacuum-packed but not chilled (see above why this is absolutely fine!).
Most international orders will arrive within 2-4 business days after dispatch. International Delivery is charged at a flat rate of € 16.99 per order.

Whilst all our packaging is recyclable and even partially compostable, in a bid to reduce waste we offer you a FREE returns service for your empty boxes! Just get in touch and we will email you a return label.
